The biggest wasps' nest in Britain has been discovered in a country pub loft containing half a million wasps.

The infestation was discovered in a chimney stack before being destroyed by Sean Whelan, a pest controller.

Teens Charged With Making 'Infernal Machine'

Homemade Device Explodes In Nashua Garage

NASHUA, N.H. -- Two teenagers have been charged with using cleaners and other chemicals to create what New Hampshire law defines as an "infernal machine" -- in this case, a crude, homemade bomb that exploded in a Nashua parking garage.

No one was hurt in the explosion.

Nashua police said they responded to a report of what sounded like gunfire at the garage Saturday night. An officer stopped a car leaving and talked to 17-year-olds Aaron Bailey and Christopher Vigue, both of Hudson. The two said they heard the noise but didn't know anything more, police said.

Police eventually found the remnants of the bomb, a plastic water bottle that had contained chemicals.

Bailey and Vigue were arrested Monday on the infernal machine charge. They were released on bail and are due in court later this month.

Solar-powered Bibles sent to Haiti

As international aid agencies rush food, water and medicine to Haiti's earthquake victims, a United States group is sending Bibles.

But these aren't just any Bibles; they're solar-powered audible Bibles that can broadcast the holy scriptures in Haitian Creole to 300 people at a time.

The Faith Comes By Hearing organisation says its Bible, called the Proclaimer, delivers "digital quality" and is designed for "poor and illiterate people".

It says 600 of the devices are already on their way to Haiti.

The Albuquerque-based organisation says it is responding to the Haitian crisis by "providing faith, hope and love through God's word in audio".

The audio Bible can bring the "hope and comfort that comes from knowing God has not forgotten them through this tragedy," a statement on its website says.

"The Proclaimer is self-powered and can play the Bible in the jungle, desert or ... even on the moon!"

Tens of thousands of Port-au-Prince residents are living outdoors because their homes have collapsed or they fear aftershocks following Wednesday's quake.

Conspiracy theorists of the world, steel yourselves! The above photo (and several more) is apparently REAL - a capture of a strange phenomena in the sky over Norway recently.

It's been explained as a failed Russian missile test. Of course, Russia is denying it had anything to do with them. Which would make sense either way. They either didn't do it, or didn't want to say they did because they didn't obey international rules for this sort of thing (by not notifying Norway of their intentions to test).

And if you think about it, that's very well what it could be. A beam of light was seen rising up - the light from the rocket fire. If you've ever let a balloon go, you've probably seen one spin around in a circle before crashing out. It's possible that one side of the rocket could have failed, throwing the whole thing wobbly and causing it to whip around in circles producing lighted smoke (or fuel as speculated in the article).

This sounds like the beginning of a really bad mystery novel — 1,300 tubes of bull semen has disappeared and one man who worked at the beef promotion committee responsible for said tubes was found hanged in an apparent suicide. There's a one-page news story on Mainichi about this, but it really doesn't say much else.

SPRINGFIELD, Va. - A Springfield, Virginia man is facing an indecent exposure charge after a passerby spotted the man naked in his kitchen and reported it to police.

Eric Williamson, 29, is a commercial diver who grew up in Hawaii and rents home with several co-workers. Williamson told FOX 5's Will Thomas his roommates were not home and he walked into the kitchen to make coffee about 5:30 a.m. Monday.

"Yes, I wasn't wearing any clothes but I was alone, in my own home and just got out of bed. It was dark and I had no idea anyone was outside looking in at me," Williamson said.

The complaint came from an unidentified woman who was walking with a 7-year-old boy. A Fairfax County Police spokesman said officers arrested Williamson for indecent exposure because they believe he wanted to be seen naked by the public.

Aside from the totally mind-boggling fact that they did indeed slam a Centaur rocket into the moon - for the purposes of detecting gasses indicating the presence of water - there's this tidbit. After a successful mission, Red Shirt here in front was understandably pumped. Any kind of incident where you can say "I was part of a successful NASA mission" (even if it is essentially bombing the moon), is totally worthy of a high five.

Apparently Red Shirt's fellow engineer/scientist/NASA-guy either A) doesn't know what a high five is, B) is a humorless dick, or C) was just too awed by the mission's success to recognize that he was being offered the chance to celebrate appropriately.

It doesn't really matter if the answer is A or C though, because in this take he still looks like B, a humorless dick.
